At the pick of progressive rock fame in Italy,a group of young musicians published a thrilling album in SEMIRAMIS were found in Rome by keyboardist Maurizio Zarrillo around The band also played at the famous Villa Pamphilli festival along with BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO before releasing their first (and only) album ''Dedicato a frazz''.Listening to this album,you can feel the energy /5.

Michele Zarrillo, a very popular singer in Italy during the 80's, recorded his first album with his band Semiramis in when 16 years old. Semiramis was 5 teenagers from to a Frazz, their only album,has complex rhythm changes and a good guitar/keyboards interplay and is still regarded by many as one of the top italian prog LP's.

 ·  · Semiramis - Dedicato A Frazz. HOWEVER - this is an amazing album to my ears. It has elements of all of the better known Italian prog giants, while also providing some novelty of it's own. Frenetic is a good word to describe this music. There are hooks everywhere and I find myself returning to this one over and over.

  2. It really is a shame that this was the only album Semiramis released. The lineup on Dedicato a Frazz includes Paolo Faenza (drums; percussion; and vibraphone); Marcello Reddavide (bass guitar); Giampiero Artegiana (classical guitar; Ovation 12 string acoustic guitar; synthesizers); Michele Zarillo (acoustic and electric guitar; vocals); and Maurizio Zarillo (Eminent string synthesizer; piano; 4/5(15).
